Oregon Coast Elopement Photographer

YOUR OREGON COAST ELOPEMENT DOESN’T HAVE TO FOLLOW THE RULES!

The Oregon coast has a way of making everything feel quieter.

The expectations. The pressure. The noise around what your wedding day is “supposed” to look like.

Suddenly, it becomes less about putting on a production and more about the two of you actually experiencing the day together.

Maybe that looks like slow vows on Cannon Beach. Coffee before sunrise in Yachats. Wind tangled in your hair somewhere along the cliffs in Brookings with nowhere else you need to be.

And while choosing to elope can feel incredibly freeing, figuring out how to actually bring it all to life can still feel overwhelming.

Finding locations. Navigating permits. Building a timeline around tides, weather, and light. Trying to plan something meaningful without accidentally turning it into another stressful production.

You don’t have to figure all of that out alone.

That’s where I come in!

From “where do we even start?” to “that was the best day ever,” I’ve got you.

I’m your planner, your idea person, and the one helping turn all your “wait… what if we did this instead?” ideas into a day that actually flows.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need a permit to elope in the Oregon State Parks or the Columbia River Gorge?

Short answer: sometimes, yes.

Many popular locations in Oregon (especially waterfalls and state parks) require special use permits or have restrictions.

The good news? I help guide you through exactly what’s needed for your specific location so nothing gets missed.

Can we include family or guests?

Yes, absolutely.

We just need to be intentional about location choice since some areas have capacity limits or accessibility challenges.

Whether it’s just you two or a small group, I’ll help you find a spot that fits your people without losing the magic.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Honestly? “Bad” weather in Oregon often looks incredible in photos.

Fog, rain, moody skies = cinematic, romantic, very PNW.

That said, I always:

  • Help build backup location options
  • Adjust timelines if needed
  • Come prepared to work with the conditions, not against them

Can we hike to our ceremony spot?

Yes, and some of the best locations require a short hike.

I’ll tailor recommendations based on:

  • How far you want to go
  • Accessibility needs
  • Your overall vision

Whether it’s a 5-minute walk or a full adventure, we’ll make it fit you.

What time of day is best for an elopement?

Sunrise and sunset are your best friends out here.

  • Sunrise = fewer crowds, soft light, peaceful energy
  • Sunset = golden glow, dramatic skies, a little busier but worth it

If privacy is a priority, I usually recommend sunrise. It feels like you have the whole Gorge to yourselves.

How do we avoid crowds?

A few ways we do it:

  • Choosing less-trafficked locations
  • Planning for sunrise or weekday ceremonies
  • Building a timeline that moves around peak traffic

I don’t just show up and shoot, I help you strategize the experience so it actually feels intimate.

You don’t need a perfect plan.

You just need the right person to bring it to life.

I’ve got you. 🤍
